Moldova's Accession to the Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters

Moldova joined the Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters, adopted at The Hague on 15 November 1965.

Signatory state will communicate to the recipient judicial or extrajudicial documents to be served abroad, at the appropriate time.

Moldova joined the Convention with some reservations, the service of documents on the territory of the Republic of Moldova is allowed only if the document is or translated into the official language of the Republic of Moldova.

Documents can be sent only through the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova.

The law of the Parliament of Moldova's join to the Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters № 13 as of 17.02.2012. Published in Monitorul Oficial № 92/288 as of 15.05.2012.

The law comes into effect upon publication.


 

Reorganization of National Courts

According to Law № 76 on reorganization of national courts, which effectively will enter into force on 01.01.2017, there were introduced the following modifications.

Law on Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities

Entered into force the Law No. 60 as of 30.03.2012 on the social inclusion of persons with disabilities. This law regulates the rights of persons with disabilities to social integration, guaranteeing their participation in all spheres of life, without discrimination, on equal terms with the rest of the society, and is based on respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms. (The Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova No. 60 as of 30.03. 2012 on the social inclusion of persons with disabilities.)

Regulation on Establishment of Rights and Compensation to Passengers in Case of Cancellation or Long Delay of Flights.

Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Moldova on the approval of the Regulation on compensation and assistance to passengers in the event of denied boarding and of cancellation or long delay of flights No 836 as of 08.11.2012.
